Think inside the box
Part of the INBETWEEN programme by Comma Space—‘Concept88’ is an experimental exhibition that sets out like a play without a tight curatorial framework such as theme, contemporary relevance or popularity. Only restricted by the dimension 88cm*88cm*88cm, artists are free to created artwork of any theme relevant to their practice or experiences within this space.
Tasked to create an exhibition identity for this project, I utilized basic shapes to create the silhouette of number ‘88’. Hard lines of the shape symbolises the rule of confining artworks to the dimension, whereas the softness in the shapes symbolises the creativity expression behind the artwork—an energy that is soft, honest and human.
The energy in these orbs are never the same, much like the organic process behind the relationship between creating and making.
