Stories of love and loss
‘Masala Masala!’ is a documentary art project by artist Susanna Tan during her residency at the Indian Heritage Center.
The project uncovers topic on love, loss and lives of spices in the community. Working closely with artist Susanna Tan, a series of gradients inspired by recipes of heritage food was created. The gradients supported and blurred the flow of pigments and spices used in art and food.
The approach was crafted with subtle imperfections, to reflect vulnerability and retain the honesty in the topic.
